Russian assault on Ukraine kills seven civilians, harming others
In Kharkiv, Governor Oleh Synyehubov said four drones hit a five-story apartment building in the Industrialnyi district, igniting fires on three floors. Twenty people were injured, and rescue teams continue to search the rubble. Earlier, a ballistic missile strike had injured 11 people, including a 13-year-old, and damaged over ten residential buildings.
In Zaporizhzhia, Governor Ivan Fedorov reported at least 17 injuries from overnight strikes that damaged shops, residential buildings, a minibus, and a workshop, setting some fires.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attacks as “demonstrative and cynical” ahead of his planned meeting in Washington with US and European leaders.
